Overview

The VPC is normally completed in Year 11 and 12, but it can be started earlier or be finished over a longer period and is an applied learning program that provides flexibility to meet an individuals needs and prepares students to move on to a range of study or work opportunities.

At Foundation College, project based learning is the basis of most VPC studies and students learn under close supervision with high levels of direction.
Our alternate education setting encourages students to build their capacity to engage in education through supportive small classes, access to Wellbeing and Careers advice, and curriculum tailored to build their knowledge and skills through real world, hands-on learning.

We create an environment where students can achieve success through scaffolded learning and assisting them to change their perceptions of their capacity to experience success in education and learning.

  • Develop the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a classroom environment
  • Use a range of self-regulation and organisational skills to undertake coursework
