This class aims to build upon the skills learn at Level 1, equipping students with the ability to communicate at a more advanced level.

The curriculum is designed to further develop the skills acquired at Level 1, giving students the opportunity to build upon their understanding of the English language, practice more complex reading and writing and further their proficiency is speaking and understanding English.

Ideal for those who are looking to move into the workforce or take on formal study or training, this Level 2 program is the natural progression for those who have completed Level 1.

Through supportive group learning and under the guidance of a dedicated Educator, students will learn to embrace English with newfound confidence.

By completing this course, you will learn to:
  • Develop a more comprehensive understanding of the English language
  • Build the skills and confidence required to move on to further study or work.
  • Confidently communicate in English

  • A strong foundation to continue developing your confidence, skills & knowledge

Our Pre-Accredited and Neighbourhood House Programs incur an annual registration fee of $10. All participants must pay this annual, non-refundable registration fee upon enrolment into their first program for the calendar year. This includes hobby programs and social groups. This fee will be charged once per calendar year.

To be eligible for a full funded place in these courses you must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen or
  • a holder of an Australian permanent visa or 
  • an Asylum seeker holding a valid visa that confers eligibility for Skills First training

To be eligible for a concession fee, a valid concession card showing the name of the person enrolling in the course must be provided at the time of enrolment. FLC may request a copy of the card at the time of enrolment. Concession is applied at the time of enrolment and cannot be applied partway through the course.
